This has been bugging me for some time. Is it possible to prevent Outlook express from opening when I click on an e-mail address in the internet?

You can make another E-mail client the default, or take away the default from OE, or simply delete it entirely.

What do you want to happen when you click on an email address?

You can change which one the address brings up by opening Internet Explorer & at the top choose Tools > Internet Options > Programs, clicking the down arrow next to Email: , & selecting something other than Outlook Express. Then click Apply > Ok.

Do not attempt to uninstall OE from Windows. Better to follow the above advice and assign another application as the default and just ignore OE.
