Hey yo, wot up?

Recently installed nTune on my box, however it does not provide temps or voltages for the CPU / MoBo.

It does provide Temps for the GPU, but the CPU does not show up. Is it true that nTune 5 does not support dual cores?

Here are my specs:

E6600
XFX 8800GTX
ASUS P5n32-SLI Premium (nForce 590 SLI)
XMS 2 2GB Dual Channel DDR2-800

All drivers are the latest, and so is the BIOS. Nvidia website says that nTune supports the nforce 590, but it doesn't seem to work...

Any ideas?

Cheers!

I couldn't find anything definitive regarding dual core readings except one review that stated that when they ran a stress test of a dual core CPU with nTune it would only read one of the cores. There is an interesting sentence on page two of the users manual, "Note: nTune does not support overclocking, underclocking, or performance autotuning on multi-processor systems." But there is no mention of dual core processors.

Are you trying to OC this machine?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

No, no overclocking at all. I had Asus PC Probe II installed prior to the nTune (which I uninstalled) which provided the necessary information without a drama.
As it stands I needed to reinstall PC Probe so I could get the readings. The main reason I need them is because of the high ambient temps in my Study - that way I can keep an eye on the CPU and GPU temps...

Try SpeedFan (free) to see if this info is available from the sensors: http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

Thanks John...

Weird problems.... I tried SpeedFan as you suggested, and did manage to get temps for the CPU, MoBo, HDD and one other unexplaned Temp.....however the temperature for the GPU was incorrect - I was reading 56C from the nVidia MonitorView, SpeedFan was reading -52C (and didn't change from that).

Is there no program that will help me?!!

I have also tried Sandra Lite 2006, and although it sucessfully installed, I was unable to launch the damn thing.

All I am after is one that will show temps for the MoBo CPU HDD and GPU! Voltages I am not too worried about because I don't OC....

Can you think of any others?

Thanks in advance...

Justin

Speedfan relies on reading the sensors that are auto-detected when the program runs. I expect that you've got a sensor that's not exactly the same on the one that's labeled as your GPU (hence the erroneous temp readings).

I haven't found a general all-in-one tool for this, so I'd suggest that you stay with the 2 that are working for you.
