Scan Disk Error

The computer booted up and a prompt on the screen read error with Scandisk.exe. And asked me to press any key to contine even though some files on the disk may be damaged.
How do i detect the errors on the disk.

please help!!!!!!!

Can you run scandisk from within Windows? Try that. Here's how you do it.


Keep in mind that there's different ways to run scandisk depending on what version of Windows you have. This page tells you how to run scandisk in each version of Windows.
