1. Download this file :

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/combofix.exe
http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/combofix.exe

2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJack log in your next reply

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Download Superantispyware

http://www.superantispyware.com/superantis...efreevspro.html

Install it and double-click the icon on your desktop to run it.
It will ask if you want to update the program definitions, click Yes.
Under Configuration and Preferences, click the Preferences button.
Click the Scanning Control tab.
Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked:
o Close browsers before scanning
o Scan for tracking cookies
o Terminate memory threats before quarantining.
o Please leave the others unchecked.
o Click the Close button to leave the control center screen.
On the main screen, under Scan for Harmful Software click Scan your computer.
On the left check C:\Fixed Drive.
On the right, under Complete Scan, choose Perform Complete Scan.
Click Next to start the scan. Please be patient while it scans your computer.
After the scan is complete a summary box will appear. Click OK.
Make sure everything in the white box has a check next to it, then click Next.
It will quarantine what it found and if it asks if you want to reboot, click Yes.
To retrieve the removal information for me please do the following:
o After reboot, double-click the SUPERAntispyware icon on your desktop.
o Click Preferences. Click the Statistics/Logs tab.
o Under Scanner Logs, double-click SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log.
o It will open in your default text editor (such as Notepad/Wordpad).
o Please highlight everything in the notepad, then right-click and choose copy.
Click close and close again to exit the program.
Please paste that information here for me with a new HijackThis log.

You may want to print this or save it to notepad as we will go to safe mode.

Fix these with HiJackThis mark them, close IE, click fix checked

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Instant Access] C:\WINDOWS\system32\prodsrvs.exe /res

DownLoad http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.zip or
http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/files/killbox.exe

Restart your computer into safe mode now. (Tapping F8 at the first black screen) Perform the following steps in safe mode:

Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. Now put a tick by Standard File Kill. In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste each of the following lines one at a time then click on the button that has the red circle with the X in the middle after you enter each file. It will ask for confimation to delete the file. Click Yes. Continue with that same procedure until you have copied and pasted all of these in the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\prodsrvs.exe

Note: It is possible that Killbox will tell you that one or more files do not exist. If that happens, just continue on with all the files. Be sure you don't miss any.

START RUN type in %temp% - OK - Edit Select all File Delete

Delete everything in the C:\Windows\Temp folder or C:\WINNT\temp

Not all temp files will delete and that is normal
Empty the recycle bin
Boot and post a new hijack log from normal NOT safe mode

Please give feedback on what worked/didnt work and the current status of your system

Download Brute Force Uninstaller http://www.merijn.org/files/bfu.zip
Unzip it to its own folder (c:\BFU)

Right click http://metallica.geekstogo.com/EGDACCESS.bfu and choose "Save As" (in IE it's "Save Target As") in order to download EGDACCESS Remover. Save it in the folder you made earlier (c:\BFU)

Start the Brute Force Uninstaller by doubleclicking BFU.exe

In the scriptline to execute copy and paste c:\bfu\EGDACCESS.bfu
Press execute and let it do its job.

Wait for the complete script execution box to popup and press OK.
Press exit to terminate the BFU program.

then reboot & post a fresh HJT log

[size=4]Hello ! This is by way of a post script to my earlier logfile .
I kept getting log file corruption and M/Soft advised a log file worm. As a result I did a Windows live scan which identified the E2 diallers(11) and removed them . However the fp gad group is still there ! I will now post a new logfile ..
Cheers Dave

Explain fp gad group further - what - where who is reporting it.......

You have Norton and AVG running - remove one - you should only have one active AV

[size=4]Hello I haven't yet acted on your Brute force suggestion will I still do it in light of my later message?
If you type fp gad-network into Google you should see plenty of references to this pest and sub files Crazy Girls Cash point and Anaema.com . My Computer is working fine now apart from these annoying sites!
Cheers Dave

Yes do BFU
===============
Download F-Secure Blacklight and save it to your desktop -> https://europe.f-secure.com/blacklight/try.shtml

Doubleclick blbeta.exe, accept the agreement, click Scan, then click Next

You'll see a list what have been found. A log will appear to your desktop, it is named fsbl.xxxxxxx.log (xxxxxxx will be random numbers).

DON'T choose Rename if something was found!

Post the contents of fsbl.xxxx.log to here (xxxx= random numbers, blacklight log from your desktop)

[size=4]Hello again ! I did the BFU which seemed to be over in a flash and here is the logfile .
Although I said Windows had solved a worm problem in logon.exe in fact they only told of the problem and it still exists . I think it is this that gives the intro to the gad etc but what do I know??!!
The "Worm " message is always

Winlogon generic control dialogue

Winlogon.exe application error

The instruction at (say)ox00000 referenced memory at(say) 0x00000

The memory could not be written

Click OK to terminate cancel to debug

Either answer causes a reboot .
I will do the blacklight in the next message .
Thanks Dave

Doubleclick blbeta.exe, accept the agreement, click Scan, then click Next
You'll see a list what have been found
Checkmark them one at a time (Rename-button should then be available, it's not available if you choose them all at the same time) and press rename (you'll need to do this six times in total).

Reboot

Re-scan with blacklight

Send:

- a fresh HijackThis log
- blacklight report
