Hi spikethebountyhunter,

Welcome to BleepingComputer Forums and thanks again for your patience.

1. While it is acceptable to have more than one anti-virus program installed, it is not a good idea to have them all running in auto-protect mode as it may make them all less effective. Choose just one to run in auto-protect and use the other(s) for ad-hoc scans only.

2. Run HijackThis, click Scan and checkmark the following entries:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{58B8376D-DC3C-4E91-899B-96E51BAB2C76}: NameServer = 85.255.115.235,85.255.112.171
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{B677A8CA-3895-4373-8E0D-8D682F5B90CD}: NameServer = 85.255.115.235,85.255.112.171
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.115.235 85.255.112.171
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\..\{58B8376D-DC3C-4E91-899B-96E51BAB2C76}: NameServer = 85.255.115.235,85.255.112.171
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.115.235 85.255.112.171

Close all browsers and windows, except for HijackThis and click the Fix Checked button; close HijackThis!

3. If you have connection problems after this:
  • Go to Control Panel. - If you are using Windows XP's Category View, select the Network and Internet Connections category. If you are in Classic View, go to the next step .
    Double-click the Network Connections icon
Right-click the Local Area Connection icon and select Properties.
Hilight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click the Properties button.
Be sure Obtain DNS server address automatically is selected.
    OK your way out.
  • Go to Start > Run and type in: cmd

    Click OK.
This will open a commad prompt.
Type or copy and paste the following line in the command window:

    ipconfig /flushdns

    Hit Enter
    Exit the command window
Do that before you restart.

4. Download FixWareout from Subratam.org or BleepingComputer.com!

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log.

Hi spikethebountyhunter,

1. Run HijackThis, click Scan and checkmark the following entry:

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{B677A8CA-3895-4373-8E0D-8D682F5B90CD}: NameServer = 85.255.115.235,85.255.112.171

Close all browsers and windows, except for HijackThis and click the Fix Checked button; close HijackThis!

2. Clean your Cache and Cookies in IE:

* Close all instances of Outlook Express and Internet Explorer
* Go to Control Panel > Internet Options > General tab
* Click the "Delete Cookies" button
* Next to it, Click the "Delete Files" button
* When prompted, place a check in: "Delete all offline content", click OK

Clean your Cache and Cookies in Firefox (In case you also have Firefox installed):

* Go to Tools > Options.
* Click Privacy in the menu on the left side of the Options window.
* Click the Clear button located to the right of each option (History, Cookies, Cache).
* Click OK to close the Options window
Alternatively, you can clear all information stored while browsing by clicking Clear All.
A confirmation dialog box will be shown before clearing the information.

Clean other Temporary files + Recycle bin

* Go to start > run and type: cleanmgr and click ok.
* Let it scan your system for files to remove.
* Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin are the only things checked.
* Press OK to remove them.

3. Download F-Secure Blacklight (blbeta.exe) and save to your C:\ drive.
  • Open a command window by going to Start > Run and typing: cmd
  • Copy/paste or type the following in the command window: C:\blbeta.exe /expert
  • Hit "Enter" to start the program and then close the cmd box.
  • Accept the user agreement and click "Next".
  • Click "Scan".
  • After the scan is complete, click "Next", then "Exit".
  • BlackLight will create a log in C:\ drive named "fsbl-xxxxxxx.log" (the xxxxxxx will be the date and time of the scan).
  • The log will have a list of all items found. Do not choose to rename any yet!
I want to see the log first because legitimate items can also be present...like "wbemtest.exe" and "tcptest.exe.
  • Exit Blacklight and post the contents of the log in your next reply.
4. Finally do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
    • Scan Options:
    Scan Archives
    Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
  • This will program will start and scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    • Now click on the Save as Text button:
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.
