Service Pack 1-2 Upgrade?

:thumbsup: How can I upgrade a Windows XP with a Service Pack 1 or 2,
There is this PC with Windows XP but there is no Service Pack, are there any
specific instructions on how I can go about installing the Service Pack.
Do I have to format the hard disk and reinstall Windows XP with Service Pack 2?
Please Help Me go about this I am quite lost on how to start .......

Thanks acklan I searched it already but are there any specific instructions on how I can install the service pack, if I already have it on CD?
Because the website you gave has only a download for multiple computers on a network or something,
I have the Service Pack 2 on a CD now,
so how will I begin the installation without spoiling anything, because I dont want to mess up things during the installation process???
Please help me .....

Here is and article on installing Service Pack 2 by different methods. The most inportant thing is to backup everything.

I'd update anti-spyware and anti-virus programs first and run them to get rid of any bad things running prior to upgrading though.
