How can I assign a custom icon to an HTM file on my desktop?
I don't want to change the default htm icon - just the icon on this file.
I don't see a Properties>Change Icon option for it.

thanks

Hi 222fbj, to BC

You can not change the icon on one file in a particular file format, you have to change the default which as you know will change the icon for all of them.

There is a way around this by performing a bit of slight of hand though. Move your HTM file to a different location like say in My Documents or to a storage location on a different partition, right click the file and create a shortcut. The shortcut to your file can have its own custom icon so go into the shortcuts properties and change the icon then move the shortcut back to your desktop.

Tada... your file appears to have a different icon.
