I had an unwanted toolbar in IE6 because I inadvertantly clicked the wrong button letting a malware on my computer. I found the refererence in the registry and got rid of the unwanted toolbar but the entry was still in my Add and Remove Programs list. I could not remove the bad guy from my list. I found a reference at this site, followed the directions and eliminated the rotten thing from my list. Halleluja for all you good guys. I used the SmitFraudFix.exe.

Thanks, consider me part of the family of good guys. Keep up the good work.
