An AMD cpu in a "retail box" includes a heat sink/fan and pre-applied thermal grease?

Just curious - does AMD include the grease, or is it a thermal pad (sorta like what Intel provides in it's Retail packages)?
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

I bought mine a couple of years ago and I believe I got the pad too, I was about to say I got grease but then I realized that there was a piece that was cordoned off on the fan that I had to take some plastic off of and attach...
