I am trying to use the Microsoft press "Access 2000 VB for applications Fundamentals " tutorial. I installed the practice files per instructions. Tried to start lession 1 following directions listed below.

1. open access - selected Access Database Wizards, Pages and Projects - clicked OK
2. Clicked on databases tab
3. dbl clicked contact managment icon - provided path and name for new file
4. clicked on create - got error message "object variable or with block variable not set"
5. clicked on OK - dialog box closed - left with blank access window

Anyone have a clue as to what happened or where I can go from here? Any help deeply appreciated.
