My web browser (IE6) has just been infected with FreshBar toolbar. Can someone help me get rid of it?

I just ran HijakThis and I am posting the log file below.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Tony

Please download CWShredder and install.
http://cwshredder.net/bin/CWSInstall.exe

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix Checked button.

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\iecust.dll
Microsoft.hta

Open CWShredder and click "Fix".

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.

Buckeye Sam;

I just noticed a bunch of places where it says "mscoree.dll (file missing)". Did I delete something I shouldn't have???

I noticed that mscoree.dll(file missing) in your first log too. It seems to be associated with a program on your computer called Onfolio. As long as that program continues to work as it should then I wouldn't worry too much about it. But just in case, here's a place where you can download a copy of that file should you need to.

The good news is that your log is clean! Let's keep it that way.

To prevent from getting infected again please consider installing Spyware Blaster. SpywareBlaster will add a large list of programs and sites into your Internet Explorer settings that will protect you from running and downloading known malicious programs.

A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
