I use IE 7 along with MSN plus using OE 6 and I get this error before and after applying the hotfix for it. What is the problem as I am unable to recieve e-mail via Outlook Express 6??

The server responded with an error. Account: 'pahs.72', Server: 'incoming.verizon.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR AVG POP3 Proxy Server: Cannot connect to the mail server!', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC90

Do you have AVG Anti VIrus on your computer?

Hi Lt Col K D Clark.
I think what fozzie is getting at is that the error points to AVG's e-mail scanner.
Disable that portion of AVG to test. If you then can receive e-mail, you might want to look at your firewall settings and re-configure the scanners permissions. (remove and reset)
