My hard drive recently crashed, now I am trying to install a new hard drive but I am at a stand still, after the computer loads the first page it stops and stays on a page where it says verifying DMI Pool Data ....... and just locks there, any suggestions?

Reset your BIOS. Simply remove your BIOS (motherboard) battery, for several minutes, and then replace it. This should clear the information from the old drive. This would also be a good time to replace the battery if it is over 1 or 2 years old.

Please unplug your computer first. ;)

Do you have any data on the HDD that you want to retreive?
If all else fails, hit the reset button.
