HOKAYSO,

I just downloaded Knoppix Live, burned on CD fine, and when I boot from the disc everything SEEMS to be working fine. I hit enter to start the boot process, but then, it reaches the "hot-plugs" part, where it is looking at hardware and such, and it hangs... just stops, frozen, forever.

I know there is nothing wrong with the disc because I booted from it on another computer and it worked perfectly.

I suspect it is my nVidia GeForce FX 5200 graphics card after some searching on the internet.

Is there anyway to get tis to work on my computer? Could a different flavor work possibly?

Try disabling some of the hardware detection at boottime. When the boot prompt appears, put in: knoppix noapic noapm

There are more boot options here.

Was unsuccessful. I'll take a look at your link and try some other options.
