Just hooked up a new ViewSonic VA703b monitor; working beautifully. Should I " leave well enough alone" when it comes to the "User Guide & Installation Software" CD which came with it and still is in the package?

Generally, you won't need the CD. But it may contain some special features that you want to use - so read the documentation to see if it might be useful to you.

FWIW - I've never installed monitor drivers on any of the systems at home or at the wife's office. The default drivers are good enough for our purposes.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

Well, that is exactly what my spouse had to say as well, so...with two of you guys giving me advice...I think I'll take it. I did take the instructions .pdf file from the CD, though, and that has helped me w/the settings.

Thanks, John.
