Ive recently heared about a program called peerguardian 2 which blocks a tonne of IP addresses etc, a good explanation of how it works is on wikipedia:

just wondering people's opinions of this program and if its ok to use it in conjunction with a firewall...

I don't know how effective this program is but it is legit and available at several of the major downloading sites like snapfiles.com and download.com. Seems some consider it a firewood in itself while others do not.

Ah, cheers quietman, you're pretty in the know on this site!!

So basically its not a firewall as such and u could use it alongside a separate firewall. I was thinking of using it just as general protection (as i dont use p2p), but by the sounds of it its not really necessary :thumbsup:
