2080 Super Nvlddmkm

Can't edit in Premiere without this error making my monitor go black and freezing my mouse and everything else until it comes back about 10 seconds later. It seems to ONLY happen in Premiere Pro, regardless if GPU playback is enabled or not. It doesn't happen with gaming so I'm confused as to why it's happening only with Premiere, I also get an error in Blender sometimes that says "CUDA Error - Failed to create CUDA context (Illegal Address) when attempting to render or preview my render. Please someone help I've tried DDU, sfc /scannow, DISM, Memtest and a bunch of other stuff, I'm baffled because it only started recently and I've had my PC for years and never had THIS happen, a few bluescreens here and there but not ever this. I even reverted back to the previous drivers (511.65) because I thought that would help but no it didn't. The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: \Device\Video3 CMDre 00000000 00000200 00000000 00000005 00100042 The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

Specs are Windows 10 EVGA RTX 2080 Super AMD Ryzen 9 3900x x570 Aorus Elite 32GB (2x16) G.Skill ram Corsair RMX 750x

I have also tried:

• Turning Digital Vibrance back to 50 on both monitors

• Disabling XMP

• Using DDU to remove and re-install video drivers

• Installing Windows updates

• Uninstalling Windows updates

• Reinstalled Windows 10 64 bit completely fresh on an entirely new drive

• Disabling my second monitor

• Playing on a lower resolution

• Modifying the registry to increase the TdrDelay setting (up to 60 seconds)

• Monitored my GPU and CPU temps and there's no overheating

• Turning off GSYNC (I run fixed refresh)

• Turning off anti-virus

• Reseating the GPU AND switching to other PCIE lane

• Underclocking GPU

• Uninstalling MSI Afterburner

• Uninstalling Ryzen Master

• Turning off GPU LED's

• Ensuring Chrome is closed when editing

• Changing Windows power options to use max performance, with Link State Power Management off as well

• Entering Bios and making sure CSM Supports - Enabled/Disabled (neither helped) and Storage Boot Option Control - UEFI only (someone on another forum said to do this cuz it may help)

• Installing Studio Drivers (didn't help either!)

Hi, Welcome to BC.

Aorus is that not a RGB model ? If running any RGB software uninstall for now.   What is with the Red Giant Service/Software/Maxon  ?  Is it possible it is a driver issue with one of those ?

The 1st thing installed after a clean install is the Chipset Drivers. Was that done ?

Download Minitoolbox from the below link :

  Run the tool and only select the following tick boxes.
    -List last 10 Event viewer errors
    -List installed programs
    -List devices
    -List users, partition and memory size
Now click "Go" and Copy/Paste and post the output text in your next reply

I would also like to state that if it says my GPU driver is out of date, I did that in an attempt to go to an older version to see if that would help me. Also the issue started before I installed Precision X1 but I went ahead and uninstalled it just now as well.

Hi, when uninstalling programs use Revo Uninstaller  there is a portable there also.  It gets more left behind drivers than just uninstalling.  Oh and 3DMark and others, stressing the system further is pointless.

Have to ask and if yes please uninstall. Are any of the programs cracked re qBittorrent ?    

Would you be mind rerunning MiniTool then using the Edit Button in the your Post #3 bottom right side and delete all that is there from the 1st run and paste the 2nd run in to see the changes made.

None of my programs are cracked. I have a license for Adobe as well as all the plugins. I use Creative Cloud from the guy I edit videos for. 3D mark has been uninstalled for a bit I will update the third reply now with the most recent scan. I uninstalled Sapphire and all Maxon items using Revo Uninstaller.

Forgot to mention to reboot.     Wondering if looking at errors that are not there because I forgot.

For the 1st error : VSS can try resolving it by deleting all Restore Points by turning it off and rebooting.  Also can install Macrium Reflect Free (would be good idea anyways to make a Image when system is running well after a reinstall of just Windows so do not need to spend time installing when can use your image) and under Other Tasks is a Option to repair VSS Errors.

If anything is overclocked including the video card please return it to stock settings as well the M/B.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply to me. As far as I know, I previously attempted to turn off XMP, that didn't help, I then underclocked my GPU (It's pre-overclocked from factory) that also didn't help. I also had already boosted my TdrDelay to 20 then 60 and it still didn't help, just froze my PC for an uneasy amount of time when the driver crashed. I have also went into BIOS and hit "Restore to defaults" and then F10'd.

Since the first issue focuses only in Premiere...all these other focuses should be on your Premiere install.

Ditto for Blender.

I see no point in focusing on hardware/drivers...when all other functional aspects that are not limited to those two programs...cause you no pain.

Hi Louis, thank you for the reply. I have reinstalled windows as well as all Adobe software and still have the issue. That was the first thing I tried, even went as far as to uninstall all plugins. The programs works fine when running without CUDA playback (but that runs on CPU and is relatively slow for big projects) Blender also has the same issue, renders also take EXTREMELY long regardless of sample sizes and light bounces in Blender, even on extremely simple scenes.

Looking at the data you submitted...I always seem to have to reminder users of torrent programs that using such to download/install programs...carries an increased risk of malware.

Looking up some data on the errors reflected...some comments about expected problems when not doing a clean install of Win 10 end up with suggestions for doing a clean install of Windows.

Have you checked the functional health of the drive on which C: is placed?  At the minimum, I would run DISM/sfc /scannow commands. Link.

This is a brand new installation of Windows, I had the issue on previous installation and got fed up so I got a new drive and installed a fresh install on that. Qbittorrent is used for nothing more than downloading/distributing large data that creative cloud cannot hold due to size limitations to/from my boss which are video files as well as Blender projects, both our PC's are clean of Malware. I have ran DISM as well as SFC commands.

Essentially...you are saying that all common-sense steps point to something other than Windows, something other than drivers, and something other than malware.  That's a puzzle that I am unable to solve.
