Windows xp

Download manager........Download accelerator plus

DAP suddenly wouldn't work.
....I try uninstaling
....I used add/remove.
It won't remove!
So I got crazy and started deleting anything associated with DAP.
Now I really have a problem...
NOTHING will download.Including updates.
I thought windows would take over the defalt.
This message,
"Could not load DAP, using regular download.
IT DOESN'T do anything.
I tried re-instaling XP.
What have I done?

Is DAP still there in add/remove? If so, try removing it in Safe Mode.

If that doesn't work try re-installing DAP and then un-installing it.

Download AutoRuns to see if DAP is still configured to run at boot/login. You can stop it from doing so by un-checking it.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
