i'm looking on spending about $50 or less on a graphics card any suggestions?

oh sorry i'm retarded i MIGHT do some very light gaming (I have a 360 so i probably won't do much if any) i play around in photoshop some and thats about it i do want a graphics card that will work well with a 23 inch widescreen monitor my computer won't output true widescreen so everything is a little stretched.

As long as your widescreen resolution isn't bigger than 1920 x 1200, then that card should work. If you've got the even larger 2560 x 1600, then you'll have to look at getting a more expensive card.

right click the windows background --> Properties ---> settings --> bottom left theres a meter that you can change for resolution

but i'm pretty sure that my monitor can output a higher resolution than 1024 x 768 or 1600 x 1200 can't it?

Look up you monitors name brand and model number online for info on how high its resolution can go.

looks like its about a 1366 x 768 (its not the highest quality monitor but it works)

is there some way to get my computer to output a more widescreen resolution?

fiddle with your monitor settings to adjust with that stuff
the buttons on the front should do the trick you just need to find out what ot do when

just play with vertical and horizontal centering etc... and the stretching of those until it works for you
