Files Moved & Renamed By Check Disk

so all of a sudden the other day about 80 gigs disappeared off one of my hard drives. i did some analysis & found all the files had been moved to hidden "found" folders by the check disk progam & had been stripped of their files names & turned into chk files. normally i would just try to rename the files but since this is such a large amount (mostly mp3s) is there any way to recover the file names or are they hopelessly lost forever?

Look in the freeware section in my sig for PC Inspector wich should do the trick
