Hi. I just recently received a message, " your computer is infected Critical system error system detected virus activities. They may cause critical system failure. Please use antimal ware software to clean and protect your system from parasite programs...." I noticed on Apr 15 2006 a link was displayed to fix this issue, does anyone have the full path path for the fix.

What OS (Win XP/2000, etc) are you using? What type of anti-virus are you using and when was the last time you ran a scan? Have you performed any anti-spyware scans? Have your tried doing your scans in "SAFE MODE"?

Do these pop up alert messages look like any of these?

If so, I suggest you follow the generic instructions for using SmitfraudFix in BC's "How to remove the Smitfraud / Generic Zlob".
