I have a dvd drive for my computer and i put a dvd in and it does not see it although it sees and uses every thing else and runs it correctly. I tried removing it and reloading it but it did not work.
Any ideas?

Try different DVDs, if it's a burned DVD that it doesn't see try a pressed (non-rw) one.

If it can read CDs but doesn't respond to any DVDs it's likely that the DVD reading laser has gone out on the drive and the CD reading laser still functions. In which case you'd just replace the drive.
