Shared Access Service Stops

On my Windows XP (SP2) computer, my Internet Connection Sharing Service, along with many other services, often starts on bootup, then stops. A query run on the Shared Access Service shows stopped status, with WIN_32_EXIT_CODE: 1067 <0x42b>. When I try to start the service, the message comes up, "A system error has occurred. System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied." I cannot find anything on Microsoft's website which addresses and fixes this specific problem. I figure there has to be some program which is stopping this service; or perhaps it's related to another problem I've noticed with several drivers failing to load after repeated attempts, which may be why my computer is so slow to boot up. Can anybody help?

The first step would be to perform a scan of your system. I'd suggest this free, online scan: http://safety.live.com/ Please let us know what the results are.

Next is to look in your Event Viewer for error messages. Go to Start...Run...and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Click on each of the categories in the left hand pane and look for their errors in the right hand pane. Please let us know what you find.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
