I'm not sure I'm in the right forum but I'm in need of help. I accidentally made my screen dim alot and now I don't know how to brighten it back up. Can anyone help me?

What did you do to make the monitor darker? Was it in the PC or were you playing with the monitor itself?

I was arrowing down and I noticed it was darker and I must have pressed something because when I looked a bar with a sun by it had popped up on the screen but before I could change it back it was gone.

I have a dell laptop and on the up and down arrows there is a picture of a sun so I figure you have to use those some way to do it I'm just not sure how.

Option no# 1. Try to right-click on the picture if you can, and see if any options pop up.
Option no# 2. Using the arrows keys, adjust them in the opposite direction, or adjust them in the same direction as before, and see if you can duplicate the problem. This time, just remember what you've done, so you'll know the next time.

It worked. Thanks for all the help.

Which option/method worked for you?

The reason I ask is so that others may learn from this, if it should happen to them too.
