Can't View Certain Pics Or Videos

Hi, first time here. When I try to view a picture or video. I get a red X in the upper left hand corner. I have no clue why or how to fix it. I am using windows xp home edition.

Are you using Internet Explorer, and are the red X's on web pages?
The first solution to your problem is to clear your temporary internet files:

On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, then on the General tab, click "Delete Files" under Temporary Internet files. Select the Delete all offline content and then click OK. Close IE.

If this does not remedy the problem, follow this MS knowledge base guide:

OK, thanks, I can now view pics. But for some reason, I can no longer view my PDF files?
