I Can't Play With My Christmas Present

i can't install itunes on my computer it says
"windows cannot access the specified device path or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"

You need to use an administrator level account to install the software.

we only have one account
the only account that is being used is the administrator's account

Are you using IE7? If so try rolling back to IE6 and then installing iTunes - I've heard this can solve your problem.
