Try removing these Java based programs in Safe Mode. They may have a entry in Startup that is causing this Java error.

fom their site:
How do I uninstall remindU?

You can uninstall remindU by following the following steps in order:

Close all of your browsers.
Go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and remove the remindU module.
Empty your recycle bin.
Like most software programs, remindU does add some entries to your registry but they do not change the behavior of your PC once the application has been uninstalled. These entries should not be removed unless done by an experienced computer user.

How can I uninstall the Upromise Toolbar?

Click the Upromise drop-down menu on the far left hand side of the toolbar and choose Uninstall. Once you confirm that you want to uninstall the Upromise Toolbar, it will be automatically removed from your browser and computer.

You can also uninstall the Upromise Toolbar by following the following steps in order:

Close all of your browsers.
Go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and remove the Upromise Toolbar module.
Empty your recycle bin.

More than likely you will have adware left on your computer after uninstalling with Add/Remove program--if it works!
Suggest you run a scan with Super antispyware and Panda after removing the two programs.
