To me it looks like it says it is "searching" not "seeding", which means that it is looking for the file or file location.

Orange Blossom, you're not looking down far enough.

Seeding is the process of connecting to a torrent when you have a complete file.

Uploading is the transfer of copies of a file from the user's own computer to a remote database or other computer.

Actually, I did look down far enough and saw Uploading, Cancelled and Cancelled. but couldn't see text in the blue bar which I then interpreted as a border. Bad eyes, and yes I was wearing my glasses.

Thanks for the seeding info.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

I'm not sure about that exact client Ares, but it looks like the "uploading" means that a file is getting ready to be seeded, but it must upload 1st. I'm just guessing, but looking at the screen shot, that's what it looks like to me.

I'll look into that client and see what that really mean.

I've seen reference to this before, but never looked into it. I believe that it has something to do with how torrents operate when they go out and get the torrent information.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

Here is a list of all the terms with definitions used in a bit torrent process.
