I am having issues with installing some programs, and I think I may have figured part of the problem. Last nite I ent to put in a CD in the drive to test it. I opened up my CD player program, put the disc in then up where it shows the title and all that it said "Data or no disc loaded. I know the disc was in. So what the heck is this about? I opened up my device manager tab and according to it the device is fine. I think it may have been lying to me.
:trumpet:  :inlove: :flowers:

Oh yeah and I still can't figure out how to change the fonts and color on my posts
I hope you all have pleny of patience for this technologically challenged person!!!

A quick thought here:

You didn't mention your OS or anything like that but it shouldn't matter anyway.
You put in a data disk or music disk in your main drive (probably C:) is that right?
How long have you had your computer and how often do you use the drive?
Have you tried using a CD/DVD/CD ROM cleaning disk in the drive? I think they suggest to do that every 15 hours of usage or so.
Also, does your computer have a DVD drive?

When you've clicked on a "Reply" button or send a "PM", just below the "Smilies"
on the left side of the screen you'll see "BB Code Help".

This should help you format your posts. Just remember if you start a BB code tag,
you must also close it. Start = [] and close = [/] with the BB code tag between the brackets.

The only easy day was yesterday.

Is it a CD-RW? Because my Win98 computer wont read those unless I have Adaptec DirectCD running when I put it in.
