Dear Sir,
I am getting the message "internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close"
This over the last few weeks is happening more often.Often I click on a link and everything disappears and I find myself on the desktop, still connected, and I have to enter again my data in the address bar.
I run Windows Xp Professional SP2 pack, I have AVG spyware and virus protection. Whta should I do to fix this problem? Thank you for your support
Andrew Mortara

First is a double-check for virus/spyware infestation. Try this free, online scan: http://safety.live.com.

Then, you may want to try repairing Internet Explorer 6 (if there is no infection) by reinstalling SP2.

If you're using IE7 - I'd suggest reverting to IE6
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
