Restore Wizard

When I or the computer makes a restore point it is gone the next day. Does anybody have any ideas how to repair this without reinstalling Windows XP?

How much free space do you have available on your local drive?

I have a 76 gb hard drive and 14.2 gb is used, (56 gb free).
A little over 8000 mb is reserved for restore points.
