Here's my post again, know you all said not to bump, but it has been a week and a half and really, really need your help- maybe i did something wrong in my post? Please, please help! Thanks so much! chillykim PS- i did post to "no reply in five days" after a week. Thanks!

here's the original post:

Hello- thank goodness for you all! MY laptop is driving me crazy. I can pick up wifi hotspots, indicator reads "Signal Strength Excellent", yet when i try to get to any web pages, it just searches and searches. I get "waiting for reply" forever, then "connection timed out". When i use my wifi at home, it is fine. Also, most home wifi I can pick up- but not all. I recently bought and installed a more powerful wifi card thinking that would solve the problem. While at a coffee house recently, a young man wanted to use my laptop. He aobut jumped out of his seat when he saw how many processes were running. He stopped a few of them, and the laptop was working fine. So i decided that i need your help in getting rid of the junk. I followed all the prep steps.
Thank you so much for the help!

Here are my problems:
I have way too many processes running on startup which is slowing down my computer and making it impossible to use my wifi in many hotspots. When I manually stop as many processes as i know i can, it then will pick up the wifi. I need to get rid of what ever I can.
I use my computer for:
internet
word
halo
scrabble
boggle
itunes
playing DVD's
Syncing to my Axim handheld
Microsoft reader
Windows media player

Thanks for all your help!

Hello there and welcome to Bleeping Computer's security forum.
I see a clean log here, there are no signs of malware or anything that may cause the reboot problems you are having. I recommend that you post your question in the following forum as you will recieve better help there. Let them know you have had your Hijackthis log checked, and it isn't a serious security issue.
