My computer recently crashed and I think it is missing drivers. When booted into safe mode the list of drivers stops at a driver and wont boot up any more. The HD type is NTFS so Bart doesnt help to recover. Is there any way to replace the driver using a different Recovery OS or is there any thing i can do to save windows?

An easy thing to try first would be a repair installation of XP. Bear in mind you'll need to have your XP disk and your product key for this to work.

Does it stop at mup.sys? If so let it sit there for awhile. It make take it's time, but it should eventually boot into safe mode. You may have experienced a file corruption due to the crash. Have you tried Last known good configuration instead of Safe mode?

My hard drive read function was shot so i needed to do a low level partition. For any one that has the same problem, just use partition magic or some cheep software to format the your drive and re-install windows.
