Mozilla And Internet Explorer

on my other computer my internet is still up like i still can chat on AIM, MSN, etc
but mozilla firefox and internet exploerer act as if there is no internet can someone explain to me what the problem is ?

I am not sure I understand "no internet" in the context of the two browsers. Can you give an example of what happens, and any error messages you are getting, even if it is "page not found."
Have you made any changes to your firewall that might be preventing the two applications from accessing the internet?

Most times some applications not having internet access while others do results from a malfunctioning firewall or multiple firewalls running simultaneously. Make certain you only have one running (don't forget the Windows firewall if this is XP), and that it's working properly.

When i open up mozilla or internet explorer it gives me a page not found

this started happeneing after i restarted my computer

OK some questions/ remarks here

Can you still ping? Go to start run than type CMD
than type (without 1) or 2) )
1) ipconfig /flushdns
than
2) ping www.google.com
if no result back please reply following :

1) What is/are your firewall(s)
