How do I get my printer to print the content on the page only?
I hate how it prints everything from the date and time, even the link.

I have a HP Officejet 5510 all-in-one printer fax scanner & copier.
The browser I use is Mozilla Firefox version 1.5.0.8.

Firefox is now at 2.0; you can download the latest version and install it over 1.5x.

What are you trying to print? And what application are you using to print it?

John

If you are trying to print from your web browser, you can go in under the Page Setup to specify what you want printed. I am using FireFox 2.0, and to customize my printer output settings, I would go under File, Page Setup... Under the Margins & Headers/Footer tab, customize your settings by users the Drop Down menus under Header & Footers.

Hope that helps.

I believe that FF2 is still a manual download-install and they recommend removing the old FF rather than installing over it. 1.5.0.8 is the last update to the 1.5xx series. Besides a couple of security fixes, it is supposed to support the function of online updating to 2.0 over 1.5.

That is, when FF gets around to setting 2.0 to be installed that way. It might be around April when that will happen. That's when any security support for 1.5.0.8 will be discontinued.

FF 1.0.5.x doesn't seem to recognize that FF 2.0 is out. I just found this out on a system the other day. But the upgrade to 2.0 went smoothly - without any need to remove anything. FF 2.0 is a vast improvement over the 1.x series.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
