Im new to programming in C++

Im have learned that there are many different sytles or dialects of C++
and was jsut curious as to what concepts i need to learn to create a program to accomplish this task.

Changing the color of the desktop background once every specified amount of time.

This would not be a standard object that could be linked into standard C++. you would need quite advanced code to link into the structure of this. You would need to directly link into the registry.
This would only be advised to be done by a expert programmer. Changing registry is a thing that should be done with caution
