Howdy,

I just posted for the first time this evening on the Win95 forum and received a very fast response. However, I never received any 'email notifications' for any of the replies. And, in my Control Panel, I had the option to be notified by email checked.

Am I missing something?

Thanks and regards,

2harts4ever

Hello and welcome to BC 2harts4ever!!

There has been a few people that have experienced similar problems. They are being worked out on the server side. In the meantime, could you help us out with these questions?

When the responses came in your thread, were you still on these boards? If you left, and came back, was the difference in time less then 15 minutes?

Some people keep a window open in BC. In their case, they minimize the window, and just open a new window for other internet browsing. Do you do this? I am not saying that there is anything wrong with this.

Hi JEservices,

Well ... computers will do it everytime ... make a liar out of me!

Your response was announced with an 'email notification' the way it is supposed to be... lol

During my previous post I received a notification for the first response I received for my post. I was surfing elsewhere on the net when the email notification came in.

The next three replies to my post I didn't receive any email notification. I just went to the thread and looked for replies. The elapsed time never exceeded 15 minutes and no I don't keep a window for BC minimized while I am elsewhere on the net.

The email notification seems to be working now. If you wouldn't mind if you could just zing me a quick reply we will see if we can get it to work twice in a row.

Thanks for your quick response. Something tells me this site and forum are going to be among my favorites.

Thanks and regards,

2harts4ever :flowers:

I am sorry that I was not able to send you another message last night. I am glad that you received the notification anyway.

I would like to offer a little "workaround", in case it does not notify you.

Hi JEservices,

No problem about last night. Grinler answered it and I received an email notification announcing both his and now your response. So everything seems to be working as intended. :flowers:

I appreciate the work-around too. Good information and it is duly noted.

Thanks and regards,

2harts4ever  :trumpet:

If you recieve an email notification and don't respond to it by clicking on the link or copying and pasting the link in your browser, chances are you will not receive another notification on that thread.

Having said that, I never was notified of the last two posts so there might be other issues here.

Hi Leurgy,

That's funny, I never received an email notification for your last response either. For the record, I sent my last response via 'Fast Reply'. Think that has anything to do with it?

Thanks and regards,

2harts4ever :flowers:

Hi 2harts

Don't know about the fast reply thing but I was emailed about your last post. But I was logged in at the time. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Beats me.
