i have popups on my computer. so i did a avg scan and it found a nomber of items. i deleted them and did it again and it is finding Adware.IntCode.

also i get a Security Alert for NetWorm-i.Virus@fp from the windows bar near the clock.

how do i stop this?

Have you updated the AVG and run the scan in safe mode..
How to start Windows in Safe Mode

also run this free scan Windows Live OneCare , Click only on the box "Full Service Scan". Mid page under the Wrench image.. This one will take a while to run,over an hour especially if it needs to defrag your system..

In addition to what boopme advised, if your using Win XP or 2000, follow the generic instructions for using SmitfraudFix in BC's "How to remove the Smitfraud / Generic Zlob".
