Greetings people! I am so happy to have found you. I used to be younger, and so I learned faster. But now I'm here, been away from computers for awhile and DANG Mr. Gates keeps confounding his Operating System. I started using Big Blue (IBM) mainframes in the 1980's in a technical training department, so I was lucky to be surrounded by patient experts. Then somebody put a PC on my desk and I thought those toys will never take off. (good thing I don't play the stock market). I learned a bit about DOS and ISPF and then SPFPC. Then I went off to support some home grown systems, and even to a Honeywell O/S with a huge application. So I understand the history of where we came from, but now there are files that are hidden from the hidden files; and the
REGISTRY that is like a "funhouse". I can see stuff that shouldn't be there, but I am
afraid to touch the thing.
I have lots of problems with my PC, but maybe can make a contribution on one of the boards, purely by accident. I am so happy to see the tutorials and grateful to the folks who put this board together. And about my handle, I love stuff that grows.
