software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\windows\run

Due to its location I am reluctant to remove it. I do not see it under my startup monitor. I know how to get inside and modify the registry, I'm just afraid to do it unless I'm sure.

"Spyware Doctor", "Spybot", and "AdAware SE" do not register it as a threat. However...

XoftSpySE (which I think is magical due to its sheer speed and accuracy) says its SEVERE threat, and known as"Adwareloader". XoftSpySE has never been wrong for me before, others have. Honestly it's BY FAR the best scanner I've ever seen, even if the free one doesn't delete. Scans whole comp in like 10 seconds and does a better job than pretty much everything.

In a nutshell is "software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\windows\run" a bad thing or no? XoftSpySE has never let me down before.

Hello,

software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\windows\run

is not bad at all! Why is Xoftspy telling you it is bad? That's the key in the registry where all your programs are added that start up with windows.

Can you give the exact part of the log where Xoftspy says it is bad?
