Abbreviations For Windows Start-up

where can I find what the abbreviations in the start-up window mean so I can remove ones I don't need?

Precisely what do you mean by "start-up window?"
You can find a large list of programmes and applications in the STARTUP FILES tab at the top of the page; this list describes what each "abbreviation" does, whether it is needed, optional, or should be eliminated from your start up.
Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one should be silent.
