I've had this virus/adware/spyware or whatever you wanna call it twice. I haven't installed anything, but an icon comes on the tool bar by the start menu. Then it gives me these pop-ups that tell me to scan for viruses. McAfee didn't work, and nethier did Zone Alarm Internet Suicrity Suite. When I searched winantivirus on google, the offical website was not allowing me to enter becuase google said it was not safe.
A little help?

Please read Preparation Guide for use before posting a HighJackThis Log

Once you have done that, post a High-Jack-This log into the HJT forum section. It may take a little time in order to fix your problem, depending on the strength of infection. But, a team member there will talk you through what to do and help you fix your system.

The forum is always busy, and so are the HJT team, so please bare with them. Please allow up to 5 days for a reply. If you do not receive a reply after the 5 days, you can use the 'Have not had a reply in 5 days' log at the top of the HJT forum to let the team know.

Please DO NOT try to bump your post by adding another reply to it first time around.
The team will look for logs that have 0 replies, if you add somthing else after your original post, then you will give yourself a reply and the HJT team will think someone is already helping you and may pass it by.This will then take more time for you to recieve any help.

IMPORTANT: Once you have posted your HJT log, do not attempt to fix anything yourself , please wait for the team to help.

Good luck

Kind Regards
Graveangel!

Well thats gratitude for ya when you try and point someone in the right direction!

The reason for the suggestion is not to brush you off. If this is not the first time this has happened, you will very likely find that the malware on you system may need a little more than just a short response to correct it. You could possibly find that by just doing a normal scan will not fully dispose of your problem, leading it to come back, and make things even worse. You may have only noticed this, but underneath you could have numerous issues, then again it might only be the one.

But, if you're not really bothered in finding out or actually fixing the problem correctly, instead just wanting a short conclusion, then thats your choice!

Ignorance is bliss! (Until it comes back and screws you)
