hi there. everyone ==

I'm in the southwest US, and a full-time artist. Minimally knowledgeable on tech matters. I used to be a computer illustrator for an early rpg company, but that was eons ago from a technological standpoint. I do use computers--a lot--and love them--a lot, but my use and ability is photoshop/creatively based, so I'm obviously pretty limited.

I'm alone most of the time (being a painter is like that) so when something goes wrong or I think there might be a problem, I basically need to figure it out on my own and I don't get very far, usually. Also, I have less than zero money, so that limits what I can do rather clearly. Still, I'm trying to at least stay up and running. It is not the most intuitive pursuit in the world or the most useful, but that hasn't stopped me yet.

But I rely very heavily on my computers, well, computer, (singular) since my daughter dropped my powerbook on the tiled kitchen floor this past summer (still makes me wince). And yes, I'm bipartisan re mac/pc. So there you go.

So that's a bit about me and why I'm here.

Thanks for the forums, and (I hope) some education.

take good care,
