Hi all,

I'm delighted to have found this site! I'd been off the internet and without a computer for almost two years before late October 2006. I made do by going to libraries and using their computers. I kept up my yahoo e-mail all that time.

I am a long-time subscriber to Tourbus and recently added Ask Bob Rankin; I really like those sites. I just joined the Spybot community, on the same day I joined bleepingcomputer's.

I used to read Zdnet years ago--maybe one day I'll see if it is still there. Lockergnome was way over my head!

I came to this site from Google because I was looking for Spybot and saw that this site had information on it. Well, I started looking through different tutorials and thought this site seemed to have a nice tone to it, that smart, helpful people post here.

I look forward to getting to know people here.

Welcome to BC!
Most of us are certainly not techies, just users with experience and expertise in many different areas.
Regards,
John

Hi John,

Thank you for writing to me  and making me feel welcome.

I was so insecure--!--signing up that I chose a name that would make my lack of tech smarts REAL evident! I appreciate your reassurance.

I'll keep reading for a while. This is a great site. From your low member number, I guess you are one of the people who helped make it this way. Thanks for that, too.
