I have been trying to clean up a friends laptop...it had the about:blank malware on it, as well as numerous others but that was the worst. She is running XP Home. I am not sure it is completely gone...but at the moment I've noted that under docs & settings there is an owner folder but no owner account appears in user accounts. I'd like to just delete it...can anyone tell me if deleting the owner folder will cause any system problems? I've set up another administrator account and disabled the guest account. If I need to post more information please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your help,

A lot of default installations has an owner account for the administrator. All you need is the default user , all users, administrator profile, and your users profile. You can get rid of the rest
