 I have 2000 professional on a IBM Thinkpad Laptop, and having hibernation problems..............Went into hibernation mode and won't come out......it says no operatins system found......someone says i need to change start up order, but i am not sure how to do that.
Here is exactly what the opening screen says has 2 options F1 for IBM BIOS Setup Utility and the other is F12 for Temporary Boot UP Device......then pops up hard drive not installed...please reinstall hard drive. This has happened before and bootup order was changed worked for about 6 months and now sleeping again

Have you tried
>turning it off for a few minutes
>pressing Enter, Esc, Space, CtrlAltDel, holding down the power button for 8 - 10 secs
>removing the battery (and making sure its not plugged in through the power block) and then putting the battery back in then pushing the power button
>hold down left shift when restarting, start in safe mode, and reboot normally.
Get a can of compressed air at an office supply store and blow it thru the fans and vents.
