Hi everyone ,

I have a problem with my laptop's usb ports . Suddenly yesterday they didn't work . I have all of USB drivers in my device manager and in device manager i can see that they work properly . But when i plug a usb device ( like my Printer , Web Cam , Mp3 Player and etc .) to any of two ports a mini window appears in task bar and says that ( one of usb devices attached to this computer has is malfunctioned and windows doesn't recognize it ) and then when i see in device manager there is an unknown device under universal serial bus controllers .

When I plug My USB device which worked properly before , my computer doesn't detect them already .

And what did i do to solve this problem :

I uninstall all of USb controllers and USB Root Hub , and windows reinstall them automatically again . But it wasn't useful .

I restore my windows to some of lately backup point and it wasn't useful again .

I use windows XP , SP2 on my computer and i don't want to reinstall my windows because i have very important information on it .

I don't know that can it be a hardware problem and The USB part on my laptop is damaged .

Please suggest me what can i do to fix it ?

Thank you a lot .
