So I was dowloading files from a P2P network. I saw a file that was just junk and I want to delete it but my PC won't let me. I tried deleting it, dragging to the recycle bin, cutting, pasting but to no avail. Is this a virus?

This will do it.

Unlocker
http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

It will destroy that file. It'll make that file wish it was never created.

Get it,, it's FREE, and remember this too:.... Don't compute without it!!

You'll soon laugh at all those stubborn files that want to stick around... but you've decided that there's no more room for them.

Tell those files to take a hike, and make it happen for good.

You may want to run a complete virus scan to make sure your system hasn't been compromised as well. You could also probably delete this file if booted into Safe Mode.

Hey thanks for the advice however this doesn't seem to work. There are two image files which are blank so I want to delete them. I downloaded the unlocker onto my PC. I went back and right clicked on the JPEG files but I didn't get the unlock option. Instead the only thing I see when I right click on these jpeg files are the following:
Edit
Print
Open with
Preview
Sendo to
Import into photo shop album.

I tried to preview but when it opens it's blank, no preview avaiable. Any other suggestions? I tried deleting but it won't. I tried dragging to recycling bin but it won't move, I even tried cutting and pasting to bin but it won't cut or paste.

Hey thanks for the advice. I tried to delete it in safe mode and it didn't delete. The file is a jpeg but it's blank, no pic so I tried to delete. However, it won't let me select and press the delete button. It won't let me drag and drop into Recycling Bin. I can't even cut and past into Recycle bin. I can't even rename it. Any other ideas? Appreciate the help. I will also take your advice and do a ful virus scan. Thanks,
