Error With Playing Music

Yeah, my friend had her laptop "crash" (aka the harddrive got damaged when her brother dropped it) and so she had to get a new HD. For some reason, when she got it back, the sound didnt work. I'm not sure, but could it be because of the HD having to be replaced? I'll get some specs for later... I'll have to go see her about that or have her give it to me... I'll get that info to you.
