hey, i have followed around 20 diffrent variants on how to remove this hijacker, including one posted on this forum and have tried 2 diffrent anti virus programs and around 4 spy ware removers and manual removal.

i would like to think i am fairly technicaly minded so this is really starting to get to me. the main problem with removing it via the method on this site was that the reg key listed didn't exhist. i double checked all my settings and used the regediting software recomended and it jsut wasn't there. :\

n e way here is my hijack log if anyone could help

LOL, the program will crash sometimes, but it does a very good job :flowers:
It removes this nasty CoolWebSearch variant.

Download System Security Suite here:
System Security Suite Download & Tutorial. Unzip it to your desktop.
Install the program. Don't use it yet.

Run HijackThis!, press Scan, and put a check mark next to all these:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = about:blank

O15 - Trusted IP range: (HKLM)

O16 - DPF: {11111111-1111-1111-1111-222222222222} - ms-its:mhtml:file://C:one.MHT!http://www.t058.com//inst//x.chm::/open.exe

Close all other windows and browsers, and press the Fix Checked button.

With all windows and browsers closed.
Clean out temporary and Temporary Internet Files.
A. Open System Security Suite.
B. In the Items to Clear tab thick:
- Internet Explorer (left pane): Cookies & Temporary files
- My Computer (right pane): Temporary files & Recycle Bin
Press the Clear Selected Items button.

REBOOT your machine.

Please download About:Buster from here: About:Buster Download. Once it is downloaded extract it to
c:\aboutbuster.

Double-click on aboutbuster.exe When the tool is open press the OK button, then the Start button, then the OK button, and then finally the Yes button. It will start scanning your computer for files. If it asks if you would like to do a second pass, allow it to do so. Please post the log file.

Run HijackThis! again and post a new log please.
